Ordinance Making Power Of The President: Article 123

• Article 123 
• Same effect as an act of Parliament
• Used to issue new legislation or to amend or repeal already existing ordinances. 
• Exercised when one or both the houses of the Parliament are not in session.

Possible measures to prevent their misuse:

• Subject to Judicial Review
• Approved by both the houses within 6 weeks of reassembly
